Politics has been a battle between people on the entire world for the past several years and even decades. With people having different points of view and ways of thinking, it makes it harder for Politics to advance and grow making it easier to promote peace. One of the biggest problems in politics it’s that people do not have the knowledge to take charge on their decision to elect a person. Or maybe there not politically aware of the situations in which there experiencing. People sometimes don’t even care and do not research on politicians and laws they just vote for what the majority goes for, his can contribute to the falling of peace.
One example can be seen in today’s society on the issue about choosing a president, the past presidential elections people just voted for what the majority went for which was Obama. They didn’t research on what the benefits of choosing that persons who was or even what the disadvantages were.
I believe that politics in the US are corrupt because everyone is too busy asking what can the government do for me. It is selfish because we pick the politician that relates to our needs and rarely think of others. The poor want welfare and other government sponsored organization and the rich that do not need these organization vote against it. The truth is that many students start as democrats, but after they reach a certain social class they turn more republican. The news is exactly the same. If you do not believe me read my op-ed.
